chocolatey goodness

Na-stress ako kanina... Natagpuan ko sarili kong bumibili ng chocolate drink, cashew nuts at paborito kong chiken mayo sandwich...
#wretched #tattered #torn

sabi ko...shocks! shocks! I seldom do this... OMG!....my thought process is shouting but my spirit just wants to bask in the chocolatey goodness and be spoiled even for a short while.
Bow.

Who is Jesus Christ ---revisited

Since yesterday, I've been sneezing like crazy. This morning, I woke with a voice similar to a frog's croak; no audible words, just garbled phrases in an attempt to speak.

I immediately messaged Ava and asked for a replacement speaker as I shared my state.
(She said she'll call on all the saints...hehehehe)

But, I still prepped my slides and outline; I got up and dressed up ready for a talk. We went to Al Ain for an assembly from 1pm - 5pm. On my way to the 730 talk, I was lifting up everything to the Lord. I was still sneezing, coughing, with runny nose, and my words still sounding like a babble.

And God is really merciful, gracious, loving, and a wonder-worker---as soon as the pray over ended, I felt a warm presence; I stood in front with a box of tissue, a bottled water, a mini-inhaler all within my grasp. Full battle gear, ika nga.

But, lo and behold, I gave the talk assigned to me for almost an hour---straight talking; not a cough, not a single sneeze, words that I uttered clear though husky, and I didn't even notice it. (I didn't need any of my so-called "battle gears" pala).

As soon as my talk ended, it was only then that it dawned unto me---good Lord, You are indeed my redeemer, my fortress, my salvation. Galing mo, Lord!

All glory be to Your name, winner ka po talaga. Thank You for allowing me to witness for You tonight. May You be praised, always!

Anong “I can’t take it anymore?!” Why should you have to take it in the first place? When a person is not making a conscious choice to give you love, then there should be nothing to take. Love is a conscious effort, it doesn’t grow by accident. We all deserve to be purposely, deliberately, and intentionally loved. DAPAT SINASADYA KA TALAGANG MAHALIN! Hindi pwedeng bahala na si Batman noh, hindi ka naman si Batgirl! Hay nku! Hmmpf! Pambihira...

#word #D9
Kapag mahal ka...
Tapos sinurprise mo...
Wow, sweet.

Kapag hindi ka mahal...
Tapos sinurprise mo...
Sheeeet, istorbo, abala, nu ba yan...

Kahilera ba ito ng migraine at mahihiluhin?
Sumubok ka pa, wala kang kadala-dala, eh.

Loving Can Hurt

Photograph

Loving can hurt
Loving can hurt sometimes
But it's the only thing that I know
When it gets hard
You know it can get hard sometimes
It is the only thing that makes us feel alive

We keep this love in a photograph
We made these memories for ourselves
Where our eyes are never closing
Hearts are never broken
Times forever frozen still

So you can keep me
Inside the pocket
Of your ripped jeans
Holdin' me closer
'Til our eyes meet
You won't ever be alone
Wait for me to come home

Loving can heal
Loving can mend your soul
And it's the only thing that I know (know)
I swear it will get easier
Remember that with every piece of ya
And it's the only thing we take with us when we die

We keep this love in this photograph
We made these memories for ourselves
Where our eyes are never closing
Our hearts were never broken
Times forever frozen still

So you can keep me
Inside the pocket
Of your ripped jeans
Holdin' me closer
'Til our eyes meet
You won't ever be alone

And if you hurt me
That's OK, baby, only words bleed
Inside these pages you just hold me
And I won't ever let you go

Wait for me to come home
Wait for me to come home
Wait for me to come home
Wait for me to come home

Oh you can fit me
Inside the necklace you got when you were 16
Next to your heartbeat
Where I should be
Keep it deep within your soul

And if you hurt me
Well, that's OK, baby, only words bleed
Inside these pages you just hold me
And I won't ever let you go

When I'm away
I will remember how you kissed me
Under the lamppost
Back on 6th street
Hearing you whisper through the phone,
"Wait for me to come home."

Functional

You gave a tangible gift
But was reluctant to be tangibly hugged

You gave concrete help, yes
The one that requires the dirty work

You always gave your portion

It was a matter of reciprocation

Maybe they just wouldn't meet
Maybe it just wouldn't suffice
Maybe you don't want to anymore

Pushed to be stiff.
Situations made you flat-affect.

what are they feeling...

Make them feel the love, not the pressure; make them feel supported, not reprimanded; make them feel cared for, not pushed over. -random musings-
