grumble

Was asking a sister to pray for me po.

Upon reading my text asking for intercession, she got a message from God.

You of little faith, You’ve been tested with fire but still you grumble.

Please ask forgiveness to the Lord, sabi pa niya sa text…
Haaay…sori, Lord…
Nagtampo na si Lord sa akin…

Sorry, Cat

Gitnang lane ako.

Tumawid siya.

Sabay hinto sa tapat ng lane ko

AT tumingin sa akin

Naramdaman niyang me parating na sasakyan.

Wala akogn nagawa

Napadasal ako n sana sa gitna siya ng sasakyan ko napahinto at hindi matapat sa gulong ko

….

Nang maramdaman kong kumalabog na siya…

At gumulong pa-side

Reminder ni Lord…

Pusa pa lang yan…

Ynagt na…

Wag nang sa tao…

worry

When u thnk about a prblem over & over in ur mind, dat's called worry. When u thnk about God's word over & over in ur mind, dat's meditation. F u know how 2 worry, u already know how to meditate. U jst need 2 switch ur attention frm ur prblems to Bible verses. D more u meditate on God's word, d less u will hve to worry about c",)

Host, anyone?!

Our chapter head was asking who’d volunteer as host for the coming chapter HH. I don’t know what pushed me or what prompted me to present myself…and without partner at that!

When the thought actually sank into my mind…Oh, Lord. I who have a negative income…presented myself as host…Hmmm…. I’ll just get the money from the teeny-weeny income I get from carlift.

Segue:

Friday, day for bowling games, came. They were collecting money as payment for t-shirts. I approached a sister to ask for her payment. She told me she gave me the money since last Monday. OMG! Where did I put it? Not knowing where to look for it. I fished out my last money (which I actually borrowed from my sister) to pay for her group. I was sad.

The following day, the same sister texted me saying she found the money intact in her things…Haaayyyy… Praise be to God. I thought I lost other people’s money again.

I told her I’ll just get the money on our HH day, Monday.

I ordered food for our HH and asked it to be delivered into their house so she can pay for it.

I picked up the food, went to our HH, which was a blast because we had it at Jumeirah Beach. *winks*

I was ‘still’ low in cash.

But I did not focused on that.

Last Friday, a week after the bowling competition, I was overwhelmed with this realization.

The week that was.

Monday

I hosted our household. Pancit and Duck… (na-miss ko kasi ang duck…)

Tuesday

We went to Ghusais to pick up In His Steps and then afterwards went to Basketball practice.

I got free mirienda and drinks at the practice.

Wednesday

I went bowling with two sisters.

My treat was a home-made sandwich and free bowling games plus billiards.

Thursday

I was feeling tired already from the x consecutive nights of going home late.

I was on my way home when a sister asked me for a favor to pick up the Singo shirts because she won’t be able to attend the event. I told her my doubts. Explained I was too tired. But while driving, I was weighing my options if it would be easier to just get it that same night rather than picking it up the following morning…

I found myself driving all the way to Deira to pick the shirts up. I even phoned a sister to pick up some In His Steps, too, so she wouldn’t have a hard time bringing it to the venue.

Since it was already late and I still haven’t eaten dinner, I asked this dear (shirt) sister if they have any food in their house. She quickly replied that the two of us will just have dinner outside. Wow! As in, outside, outside?!

We were at City Center in no time. We chose Uno Restaurant. We were feasting on Chicken Spinoccolli and Steak and ‘bonus ice tea’. Top that!

Was smiling on my way home, as in.

Friday

Obviously, I didn’t have time to prepare any food.

Bought breakfast for me and a friend.

Lunch came. We were choosing which viand to have when a brother approached the sister beside me. You guessed it right! They cooked something for lunch and they’re inviting us over. Yup, FREE LUNCH! Like, uhmm…piniƱahang manok, adobong sitaw, beef steak…at kung anik-anik pa…

Wow, amazing…

On our way home, a couple-friend asked if they can tag along. They wanted to go to Dubai Mall.

Although I’m way, way tired (especially after playing basketball, hehehe) I said okay.

And what’s missing in this equation? Bfast – Lunch - _____ . DINNER!!!!

My FREE Dinner was courtesy of this couple friend at no less than Ruby Tuesday! Feasted on steak, pasta, shrimp, and bottomless soda.

And, oh…before I forget, a friend promised she’ll bring some cake for me. Homemade because her sister bakes the best cakes. Define ‘some’ cake, huh. It was one whole, round-shaped, chocolate cake! Yum, yum!

Did I make you hungry?

Rewind to this statement:

Last Friday, a week after the bowling competition, I was overwhelmed with this realization.

I only paid for my MONDAY meal.

But God provided for my whole week’s.

What is my pancit and duck compared to the bowling game, Uno Resto, Ruby Tuesday, Homemade Chocolate Cake, etc…?

You, Oh lord are all my delight…

For You are our only good and in You is the fullness of life…

(I don’t know, while writing this blog, this song popped into my ‘musically inclined’ brain…)

Need I explain more that HE provides?

Be blessed… :D
