silence

We live in a world that rewards activism and industriousness to the point that we forget about our need for silence. I was reading a book the other day and it says that, generally speaking, people today lack silence and thus are unable to reflect upon the meaning of their lives. Socrates reminded us 2,500 years ago that “an unreflected life is not worth living.” - Today's Sabbath

Thank You, Lord because You never let me wander into 'sin city' again last Friday.
Thank You for not letting go of my hand eventhough I tried my best to spend that moment of 'silence' with you.

Galing mo, Lord.  Was home alone last Friday...  But not really alone because I felt Your commanding presence.
That I will never be left alone...ever...for I am  with You and You are with me.
